I’m calling this painting a “happy accident” as this piece started as a study of materials on light weight paper and then it became something more. The accident part is that the dimensions are uneven: the top is width 13 1/2”, the bottom width is 14 1/4” and the length is evenly 17 1/2 “. The image is on the entire page. Floating the piece on a similar red colored mat should fool the eye and correct the imperfection.
